I found a recent interview with UFC President Dana White fascinating and wanted to share Dana’s thoughts competition that the UFC is facing from Viacom owned Bellator:

“They’re never going to be as good as us,” UFC President Dana White told “This is what we do 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Christmas. Easter. Let Christmas time come. Viacom shuts down from Dec. 3 to after the new year and then all the big holidays in between. Christmas? I’m on the fucking phone on Christmas. Easter? I’m on the phone. Thanksgiving? I’m on the phone. Bad shit happens in our business every day, and if something real bad happens, I’m on a fucking plane on Christmas Day flying to fix it. That’s the difference between us and everybody else.

Nobody’s ever going to outwork us or outhustle us. That’s just never going to happen. It’s impossible.”

“We just beat the Rolling Stones in Winnipeg,” White said. “I’m not just trying to beat Viacom MMA or any of these other guys. I want to beat the fucking Rolling Stones. 1. Do a ‘Reason Why’ Sale. IE: Anniversaries, Moving, End Of Season, etc.
Here’s some sample headlines:

– It’s End of The Year, And We Must Clear Out Our Inventory Before Jan 1st – Buy One Pair of Shoes & Get One Free For The Next Week !

-It’s Our 3rd Anniversary, We’re Celebrating With Free Appetizers With Every Dinner Purchased For The Next 3 Days! Tell Your Friends!

You get the idea, just make sure it’s a limited time sale, from 1 day to 1 week, and emphasize the reason why, because people are much more inclined to come in if they can justify it, and your good deal, with a reason.

2. Do Contrast-Seasonal Marketing: I think this is best explained with a couple quick examples,like these:

“Most People Hate It When They Have To Spend Money On Auto Repair Before Christmas, So That’s Why I’m Knocking 20% Off Parts & Labor For The Next 2 Weeks.

MLM People Can Be Insanely Annoying. God Bless Your Hearts.

God bless all you MLMers out there, I respect your efforts & your gumption, but I really find myself wondering: do any of you realize how incredibly annoying you can be?

Most MLMers in the beginning at least, consistently hit up their friends & family to join, usually during off work hours, which gets old so very fast. Faster than fast.

And have you ever met someone new, thought you might be making a new friend or connection, only to hear one of those GOD AWFUL phrases they’ve been thought to open with, like “you seem like a smart, open minded person who would interested in some extra income”?

Oh. My. God.

It’s hard to keep a pleasant expression on my face cuz I’m cringing on the inside and thinking of ways to vacate the area fast. These are not new approaches, they’re all the same – I was hearing that at Amway rallies in the 1990’s. You’re not fooling anyone with the attempt at the sly approach. It’s all the same, has been the same, and will continue that way. Gotta build that downline, cuz, hate to break to ya if you can’t see the truth, that’s what they are ALL about, not the product.

So is it worth the sacrifice? Do you just take for granted that your true friends will put up with the constant efforts at adding them your downline? Figure family loves you anyways? Do you consider how you come across with new ‘friends’ or doesn’t matter as long as the downline gets bigger?

I guess so for the few of you that are successful in it. Despite my ranting here, I respect the fact you’re trying to work it. Maybe this post will save you the wasted time of trying to add me to your downline, lol.
